With 14 years of experience in the early years sector, Maha Abbas brings a background in direct practice, family support, curriculum leadership, coaching, and professional learning. For nearly five years, she has served as a Curriculum Coordinator, supporting more than 240 child care, school-age, and EarlyON programs through training, coaching, and resource development.

As a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist, Maha’s work centres on nurturing belonging through inclusive and culturally and developmentally responsive practice. She believes education is inherently political and that educators have the power to be social justice advocates for children, families and one another.

Maha sees learning communities as ecosystems: each child, family, and educator brings something distinct, and our unique differences is a gift that strengthen the whole. Rooted in relationships, safety, and trust, she believes our role is to create the conditions where each person can belong, flourish, and contribute in ways that are most meaningful to them.
