ECC Educator
of the Year

Works directly with children in a licensed early years setting

Demonstrates creativity, care, and professionalism in their daily practice

Builds strong relationships with children, families, and teams

ECC Supervisor/Director
of the Year

Serves as a current supervisor, director, or program lead in a licensed early years program

Models strong, inclusive leadership that uplifts both educators and children

Builds a culture of growth, trust, and excellence in their organization

What's the process?

Nominate

Submit your nomination by the deadline. Tell us who they are, what they do, and why they stand out in the world of early childhood education.

Review & Selection

Our expert panel of ECE Community Advisors and CEO will review all nominations and select the finalists and winners based on their dedication, innovation, and impact (plus the number of nominations).

Celebrate & Spotlight

Winners will be contacted via email and formally announced. They will also be featured in a live interview during the 2026 ECC Virtual Summit, where they’ll share their ECE journey with the broader community.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Must work in a licensed early childhood program in Canada or the U.S.


  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in their current role
  • Nominees can be nominated by colleagues, team members, families, or community partners (no self-nominations please)


  • Nominees must consent to their nomination and agree to participate in the ECC Virtual Summit 2026 if selected

Custom ECC Award Plaque delivered to their workplace (with employer permission) or home

Featured spotlight at the 2026 ECC Virtual Summit

Recognition on The ECC’s social media, blog, and newsletter

A chance to share their story and inspire thousands of early childhood professionals
